Art Alive 2016
See the Museum in full bloom
April 29 – May 1, 2016
Spring in San Diego means Art Alive at The San Diego Museum of Art. Art Alive celebrated its 35th year with installations and events that took inspiration from the spring exhibition Brush and Ink as well as the Museum’s exceptional collection of Asian art. Visitors saw the Museum in full bloom at this signature fundraiser and annual floral exhibition with more than 100 floral interpretations of the Museum's permanent collection. Designers Ben Lucero and Jim Lennox from Pacific Event Productions brought a new twist to an old Asian tradition with a dragon-inspired Rotunda design encompassing the creativity, emotion, and powerful energy embodied by the element of fire.
Museum members receive complimentary admission to the Art Alive floral exhibition, and discounts on all related events. Show your membership card to get into the exhibition for free!
