Between 1922-24, George Bellows was commissioned by various magazines to produce illustrations depicting the fictional narratives of serialized novels. The diverse subjects found in this selection include images based on Irish folklore and Utopian fantasy, as well as works that accompanied stories about current political issues like racial injustice.
