In one of two versions of this lithograph, Bellows depicted his own wife and the wives of his two great friends, Robert Henri and Eugene Speicher. Emma Bellows' sits between Elsie Speicher (on the right) and Marjorie Henri (on the left). Bellows recorded the dress of the three women in elaborate detail; the men can be seen in the background of the lithograph
