Teen Portfolio Development

This studio will assist teens in the development of their entrance portfolio for submission to fine arts colleges while expanding foundational art making experience.  Teen summer studios are week-long, half-day classes taught by visiting artists, art educators, and community members.

This program is designed for students ages 13 through 19. 

From Press to Print: Exploring Printmaking

 In this studio, teens will discover exciting ways to produce original art in multiples by exploring a variety of printmaking techniques, from relief printing to screenprinting.  Teen summer studios are week-long, half-day classes taught by visiting artists, art educators, and community members.

This program is designed for students ages 13 through 19.

Enjoy art activities that relate to the art on view in the Museum's galleries and that coincide with the Museum's summer camp themes. Themes change weekly. Email for more information.

Spend a relaxing morning visiting informative tables on education, programs, support councils, and more while enjoying brief informative talks from members of Museum staff throughout the morning  Afterwards, visit the Museum when it opens at 12:00 noon.

Young artists will learn about the art of Pacific Island cultures through visits to the Museum and projects  such as creating masks, sculptures, and other art inspired by what they see.  Week-long, half-day camps are led by artist instructors and will include art activities that explore a variety  of media and trips to the Museum to view summer exhibitions.

This camp is designed for students who will be entering kindergarten through second grade in the next school year.

Create large scale still-life studies of flowers inspired by Georgia O’Keefe with using chalk pastels.

Enjoy art activities that relate to the art on view in the Museum's galleries and that coincide with the Museum's summer camp themes. Themes change weekly. Email for more information.
