Over the last few months, the Museum has screened masterpieces of German Expressionism, such as Metropolis (in September), M (screens every Monday and Friday in our galleries) and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (every Tuesday and Saturday in the galleries). 

Over the centuries, the sensuous bodily form, female and male, human and divine, has been a dominant feature of the Indian artistic tradition. Vidya Dehejia discusses the portrayal of the idealized and decorated body in Indian art, and its relation to classical and sacred literature and poetry, to reveal the harmony between the Sensuous and the Sacred in the pre-modern Indian ethos.
