Springtime in San Diego can only mean one thing — Art Alive at The San Diego Museum of Art. Each year floral designers are invited into the galleries to interpret some of the greatest art in San Diego’s collection. Masterpieces from artists such as Picasso, El Greco, and Matisse can be seen side by side with their floral doubles.
The Museum celebrates these floral-filled days with a host of special events. Art Alive has been a San Diego tradition for the past 30 years and the Museum’s signature fundraiser, providing critical support for the permanent collection. Whether you come alone or you bring the whole family, Art Alive provides visitors of all ages the opportunity to experience the Museum's collection for the first time or all over again. Come for the flowers, stay for the art.
