Debra Diamond, Associate Curator of South and Southeast Asian Art at the Smithsonian Institute's Freer and Sackler Galleries, will discuss Yoga: The Art of Transformation. Practiced today by millions, this exhibition is the first to explore and chronicle the visual history of this global phenomenon.
Organized by the Smithsonian's Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Yoga: The Art of Transformation reveals the discipline's fascinating meanings and histories over the past 2,000 years through over 130 works of Indian art. On view at the Sackler Gallery through January 26, the exhibition will be on view at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum, February 21 through May 25.
