Use soft pastels on textured paper and newsprint to create countryside landscapes or “Landscapes of Light” inspired by the painterly traditions of Mauric Braun and Claude Monet (pictured left). Exploring layering and blending techniqes meant to emulate the luminous qualities of the old masters.
Families are invited to explore the Museum through activities designed for young people and adults to enjoy together, including art projects inspired by the Museum's Collection, family friendly, docent-led tours, and gallery games. Activities are suitable for all ages and skill levels, and center around a monthly theme. Art projects change weekly and themes change monthly.
