Use cardboard, construction paper, watercolors, and colored pencils to create a mask inspired by people in art. Taking cues from Arnold Newman: Masterclass, completed projects will use visual clues to represent yourself, your family, and friends. As a master of environmental portraiture, Arnold Newman once said, "I need to get out; be with people where they're at home. I can’t photograph ‘the soul’ but I can show tell you something fundamental about them.”
Designed for children and adults to do together, Family Drop-In Days include art projects inspired by the Museum's Permanent Collection; family-friendly, docent-led tours; and art-focused games to play in the galleries. Activities are enjoyable for guests of all ages and skill levels, and center around a theme. Art projects will change weekly and themes change monthly.
