6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Women, War, and Industry open | 8:00 p.m. Film
In the midst of World War II, Hollywood cranked out a number of films meant to depict the events overseas and stir up patriotism at home. Focusing on the experience of women in the Pacific theater war effort, Director Mark Sandrich's So Proudly We Hail features a formidable cast including: Paulette Goddard, Veronica Lake, Claudette Colbert, Sonny Tufts, and George Reeves. Presented in conjunction with Women, War, and Industry, this film serves as an example of the ways women were portrayed during the war.
Before the film, visit Women, War, and Industry galleries, open for after-hours viewing from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.*
Approximate running time is 126 minutes, the film is NR, 1943.
