Create a unique manuscript featuring traditional themes, motifs, and decorative text inspired by the Southeast Asian, Indian, and Persian paintings on view in Temple, Palace, Mosque. Design a narrative manuscript inspired by the visual imagery found in these intricate works of art. Use the age-old medium of gouache paint in gold and traditional colors on papyrus paper. This workshop is led by Lucy Eron, Museum Educator and painter, and will begin with a docent-led tour.
The Second Saturday Workshop Series is an adult program that explores exhibitions and installations at the Museum. Each begins with a tour of the related exhibition, followed by a fine art workshop.
