 Lesson Plans

The Museum's Education Department has created a series of lesson plans to help introduce art into your classroom. They have been designed to be adaptable to any age group, can be developed from inexpensive materials, and are easy to integrate into a variety of disciplines. Click on one of the links to view an Adobe Acrobat document, which you can easily print or save for later use.

If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, you can download a free copy at www.adobe.com.

CARE Program Web site

Additional lesson plans are also available at www.carearts.org. The CARE program (Collaborative Art Resources for Educators) is a unique collaboration between the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Photographic Arts and the San Diego Museum of Art. Its Web site features art curriculum ideas for grades K-12.
