Qualifications:

Most curatorial internships are open to M.A. or Ph.D. students of art history or museum studies, or college graduates with related experience. Some general administrative internships are available for undergraduates.

Other qualifications include:
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Flexibility and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Writing and translation skills in a second language desirable (Spanish, Japanese, Chinese-Mandarin, Hindi)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Must be self-motivated

Hours:

10-20 hours per week. Length of internship dictated by project. Hours are flexible, possible at-home or off-site work.

How to apply:

Please send a resume, cover letter, and writing sample to the human resources manager at, resumes@sdmart.org, or fax to 619.233.8224.
