 Development

The Development department of the San Diego Museum of Art seeks four individuals quarterly, interested in contributing to the Museum in the areas of:

  • Corporate Giving
  • Membership Outreach
  • Fundraising Research
  • Special Events
These unpaid internships work closely with the Development and Membership team to support their efforts, while exposing students to a variety of the department's functions, including: Individual, Circle and Corporate membership; donor outreach; internal and external events; research and correspondence; general administration, and record management.

General Qualifications

Qualifications vary by position. These internships are open to currently enrolled upper-level undergraduate or graduate students. If you are interested in a museum career, have excellent communication, computer, research and organizational skills, and value the visual arts, you are encouraged to apply. These are volunteer positions that will provide you with skills for working in a professional environment and familiar knowledge of operations within a premier arts institution.
