 Corporate Giving Internship Position

Description of Duties

  • Researching, organizing, and maintaining files on major corporate donors and prospects
  • Drafting correspondence letters, reports upon, and materials and proposals for corporate prospects
  • Assisting with corporate and institutional events as needed
  • Aiding in general departmental administration

Qualifications
These internships are open to upper-level undergraduate, graduate, and recent graduate students. Qualified applicants should have coursework and/or demonstrated interest in one or more of the following fields: public relations/communications, art history, and arts or business administration. If you are interested in a museum career, have excellent communication, computer, research and organizational skills, and enjoy the arts, you are encouraged to apply.

Other qualifications include

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Internet research
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team
  • Flexibility and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Hours
10-20 hours per week for a time period of 10-12 weeks. Hours are flexible, with interns preferably able to work in four to five hour blocks of time 2-3 days per week. Some evenings may also be required as necessary for events.
