Sponsorship Opportunities SDMA's world-class exhibitions and education programs provide exceptional sponsorship opportunities for both large corporations and small businesses. Exhibition underwriting is a vital source of financial support for the Museum and a valuable public relations tool for corporate partners. The Museum works closely with each corporate sponsor to establish a benefit package that ensures prominent visibility among a large and diverse audience. Host a Special Event One of the many benefits of becoming a Director's level member of the Partners in Art program is the opportunity to host a private corporate event in the Museum. The San Diego Museum of Art opened in 1926, and is San Diego County's largest art museum. The Museum's Spanish Renaissance building houses the permanent collection of European Old Masters, American, Asian and contemporary art. In addition to glorious galleries, SDMA has a beautifully restored rotunda, a sculpture court and garden, and a multi-purpose auditorium.
