Create a work of art from fabric that tells a story similar to the narrative works found in the Young Art 2013
exhibition. This three-hour workshop, led by local fiber artist, Jane LaFazio, will begin with a tour of the exhibition for inspiration. Following the tour, participants will learn how to use a variety of cloth materials and sewn on embellishments to tell a story, revive a memory, or create a symbolic self-portrait in the form of a miniature story quilt.
The Second Saturday Workshop Series is an adult program that will explore exhibitions and installations at the Museum. Each begins with a tour of the related exhibition, followed by the fine art workshop.
