Art Alive 2011

30th Anniversary

Opening Celebration April 28, 2011 | Exhibition April 29 - May 1, 2011

Celebrating its 30th year, Art Alive is the Museum's preeminent fundraiser and one of the longest running and most widely attended events of its kind in the United States. The unique exhibition of floral arrangements is created by more than 100 floral designers who take inspiration from the Museum’s renowned collection. The result is an awe-inspiring experience that should not be missed!

During this special time, the Museum is transformed into a glorious spectacle of art and flowers, creating an enchanting spring exhibition punctuated by a host of special events. This year’s celebration honors the artists, designers and the many people who have participated over the past 30 years of Art Alive.  We are excited to welcome back René van Rems as this year's Rotunda Designer.

As the Museum’s signature fundraiser and a San Diego tradition, Art Alive provides critical financial support for the preservation, presentation and interpretation of the permanent collection.
