Title: Carolyn Wolf Summer Internship
Reports to: Education and Public Engagement Department
The Carolyn Wolf Summer Internship in Museum Education is named after former Museum docent Carolyn Wolf, who was passionate about education and creating opportunities for students and those interested in museum work. After Mrs. Wolf passed away, her family set up a fund for a yearly internship for future museum educators.
The internship is a temporary full-time, 10 week, paid position and the Museum’s only paid internship. Start Date June 25, 2018 to August 31, 2018.
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Friday 9:30 am- 4:30 pm.
Rate of pay is $11.50 per hour.
The Carolyn Wolf Intern works closely with all members of the Education and Public Engagement Department to gain a comprehensive understanding of museum education. Candidates are current college students or graduates interested in pursuing a career in the area of museum education, gaining experience, and contributing new ideas to this institution.
The Carolyn Wolf 2018 Internship application must include the following:
- Cover letter stating your interest in applying to this internship and what you hope to gain from it if selected
- Most recent school transcript(s)
- Current resume
- Two letters of recommendation
- Please include a copy of an illustrated paper you have written about a work of art, documentation of an art education project you have designed/implemented, or an image of your own artwork.
