DESCRIPTION:Saturdays\, December 16\, January 13\, February 3\, and February 10\n1:00–4:00 p.m. PT\nMay S. Marcy Sculpture Garden \n  \nJoin Museum educators for a free art-making event.\nIn celebration of SDMA’s special exhibition Korea in Color: A Legacy of Auspicious Images\, we invite artists of all ages to join us for a special Community and Family Drop-in Workshop! \nGuided by Museum educators\, participants will create a shadow box using torn and cut paper in the traditional Korean color palette and have the opportunity to paint with watercolors the ten symbols of longevity found in many of the works in the exhibition. This event is free to the community. Please join us! \nNo reservation required. All materials will be provided. \n  \nGreat for artists of all ages\, Community and Family Drop-In Workshops invite artists to enjoy hands-on art making experiences inspired by the thinking and creating processes of artists on view at the Museum. This FREE event is inspired by Korea in Color: A Legacy of Auspicious Images\, a special exhibition at the Museum on view through March 3\, 2024.
