SUMMARY:Local Latin American Masters: A Live Art Event
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, February 9\n5:00–8:00 p.m. \nSee six local artists create works in front of The San Diego Museum of Art\, inspired by the exhibition Modern Masters from Latin America: The Pérez Simón Collection. This is a live art event with music by Mariachi Estrellas de Chula Vista (5:00-6:00 p.m.) and Air Nandez (Barrio Network). \nThe participating muralists are: \nCarmen Kalo\nCesar Castañeda\nHector Villegas\nMario Torero\nStephanie Cecilia Cervantes\nVictor Ochoa \nFREE Museum admission from 5–8 p.m. tonight only. \nThe completed works will be on display until the closing of the Modern Masters exhibition on March 11. \nAfter the event\, our celebration of Modern Masters from Latin America: The Pérez Simón Collection continues with our film screening of I am Cuba at 8 p.m. the same night in the James S. Copley Auditorium.
