DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, March 4\n8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. \nThis event is now SOLD OUT\nDiscover Jasper Johns: Something Resembling Truth\, which is the first major survey of Jasper Johns since 1965 and the only U.S. venue for this exhibition.\nSavor a three-course\, family-style lunch at Vespaio\, an Italian restaurant located near the museum. A vegetarian option is available.\nVisit the museum designed by world-renowned architectural firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler. Notable for its innovative “veil-and-vault” concept\, the structure offers exhibition space along with viewing windows to the collection storage area to give visitors a sense of the depth of the holdings.\nExperience some of the most prominent works of postwar and contemporary art worldwide in the collection of philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad who founded the downtown Los Angeles museum. \n\nTickets:\n$120 Docents & SDMA Members | $130 Nonmembers \n\nSchedule:\nMorning\nEnjoy snacks on the bus with presentations on Jasper Johns and the Broad Museum. \n10:45 a.m.\nArrive at the Broad for ticketed entry at 11:00 a.m. for the special exhibition \n1:30 p.m.\nLunch at Vespaio\n*Alcoholic beverages are not included. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, March 4\n1:00–3:00 p.m. \nCome be a Master Artist and create your own mini altar piece collage! Learn about and explore altarpieces inspired by real Renaissance Master Artists. \nFamilies are invited to explore the European Art galleries together through activities enjoyable for both adults and children. Participants take part in art projects inspired by the Museum’s collection\, go on family-friendly\, docent-led tours\, and play Museum-generated gallery games. Recommended for families with children ages 6–12. Children must be accompanied by an adult. \n   \nProject Examples for Family Drop In Day: European Altarpieces made by Museum Educator Collete Tamayo\n\nFree with Museum admission. Visitors ages 17 & under receive free Museum admission. \nThis program is generously sponsored by  \n\nFeatured (from top to bottom): Luca Signorelli\, The Coronation of the Virgin\, 1508.
