DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT!\nFriday\, April 13\n8:15 a.m.–3:15 p.m.\nFallbrook Art Tour \n\nDISCOVER a unique and thriving arts community in San Diego’s North County. Fallbrook is more than just avocados! Set in the rolling hills\, west of Palomar Mountain\, and surrounded by citrus groves\, this “village” has much to offer. Here the locals’ agriculture and cultural pursuits create a charming mix. This small town is home to a number of galleries\, collections\, and installations that will pique the interest of art enthusiasts. You are invited to join us on an exclusive tour of a private collection/art studio. Lunch will be provided at a private residence located in this picturesque hamlet. \nVISIT the historic town center to see the Fallbrook Art Center during its ninth annual watercolor show\, a juried international exhibition and sale. Located nearby are the Brandon Gallery\, a professional artists’ cooperative\, as well as the Blue Heron Gallery\, where discerning collectors come for fine offerings in prints\, paintings\, ceramics\, and more. Don’t miss the art collection and numerous commissioned works at the Fallbrook Public Library that include Peter Mitten’s Visual Garden and James Hubbell’s Poet’s Patio Gate\, among others. \n\nSchedule:\nMorning\nBus to Fallbrook\, California\, approximately 56 miles from Balboa Park\, or 27 miles from Escondido.\nFallbrook Art Center\nFallbrook Public Library\nBlue Heron Gallery\nBrandon Gallery\nLunch at a private home and studio/art collection tour \nAfternoon\nReturn by bus to Escondido and Balboa Park.
