DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 29\n2:30 p.m. \nDifferent Colorful Designs (2011-16) is a short experimental film by Sindhu Thirumalaisamy (MFA student – UCSD Visual Arts). \nThe film examines the mural paintings on the walls of the South Indian city\, Bangalore. In 2010 the city implemented the “Bangalore Beautification” project to discourage vandalization of public areas and this became the most extensive display of art across the city\, representing familiar symbols from history and modern high tech aspirations along with myths.
