Copley Auditorium \nDr. Malcolm Warner\, Ph.D.\, Executive Director of Laguna Art Museum will present on the artist Wayne Thiebaud. \nUndoubtedly among the greatest artists California has produced\, Wayne Thiebaud (born 1920) is a senior statesman of the international art world. In this lecture Malcolm Warner discusses his life and career with an emphasis on the role of memory in his work. His paintings are both modern and nostalgic\, combining a sophisticated understanding of art history with a delight in childhood pleasures. \n\nThis lecture is presented as a part of the Guest Lecture & Tour series\, which focuses on works of art on view in the Museum as well as topics of interest in the broader art world.
