Please contact the Museum with any questions at 619.232.7931. \n  \nDuring the pottery wars between Korea and Japan in the 16th Century\, Japan took Korean potters captive. They did not allow them to be repatriated\, but used them to revolutionize pottery production in Japan. Their descendants live in Japan today\, some still creating inspiring works in clay.
