Due to their recommendations of limiting nonessential gatherings through the end of March\, this event has been canceled.  We regret the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding of these circumstances. Please contact the Museum with any questions at 619.232.7931. \n  \nDuring the pottery wars between Korea and Japan in the 16th Century\, Japan took Korean potters captive. They did not allow them to be repatriated\, but used them to revolutionize pottery production in Japan. Their descendants live in Japan today\, some still creating inspiring works in clay.
