DESCRIPTION:Friday\, March 18\n10:00 a.m. PT\nSpeakers:  Barbara Mumby-Huerta\, Vice President\, Programs and Partnerships\, Native Arts and Cultures Foundation\nVirtual Event \n  \nDespite centuries of colonization and attempted erasure\, Indigenous people continue to create\, share\, and inspire the world. Native peoples contend with harmful stereotypes and romanticized perceptions about their histories\, contemporary lives\, and what Native art and cultures are. Lifting the voices of contemporary Native artists is necessary to dispel myths and advance equity for Native communities.
