DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, November 9th\n1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. PT \n  \nThe Chapel of the Rocks virtual tour highlights the thought-provoking new installation of New York-based artist Justin Sterling. Built in the museum’s gallery\, the chapel is infused with light refracted by multiple glass windows. Reclaimed\, smashed\, and redesigned they become a symbol for “broken windows policing” and other examples of what the artist describes as “bad faith\,” as well as a possibility for personal and collective healing. \nPlease reserve your spot by clicking on this link. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, November 9\n7:00–8:00 p.m. PT\nGallery 4 \n  \nReturning to the Museum for its 16th season\, Art of Elan takes inspiration from the thought-provoking multimedia work of artist Justin Sterling and his Chapel of the Rocks installation\, which uses the urban environment as a medium to explore bad faith. The concert kicks off an engaging three-concert series at the Museum and features San Diego premieres of works composed by Jonathan Bailey Holland and Juhi Bansal. \nThe Broken Windows concert program features \n\n“Upon Enchanted Ground” by Alan Hovhaness (flute\, harp\, cello\, percussion)\n“His House is Not of This Land” by Jonathan Bailey Holland (flute\, bass clarinet\, violin\, viola\, cello) *San Diego premiere\n“Trail of Stars” by Juhi Bansal (solo harp) *San Diego premiere\n“Credo” by Kevin Puts (string quartet)\n\n  \nSee Chapel of the Rocks before the performance.
