DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 17\n1:00–4:00 p.m. PT\nMay S. Marcy Sculpture Garden \n  \nJoin Museum educators in the Museum sculpture garden for a free art-making event.\nArtists of all ages are invited to an afternoon in the Museum sculpture garden to construct a curving sculptural model with paper\, string\, and tape\, inspired by the organic sculptures of artist Henry Moore. No reservation required. All materials will be provided. \nGreat for artists of all ages\, Community and Family Drop-In Workshops invite artists to enjoy hands-on art making experiences inspired by the thinking and creating processes of artists on view at the Museum. This FREE event is inspired by O’Keeffe and Moore\, a special exhibition at the Museum on view May 13–August 27\, 2023.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 17\n1:00 and 2:30 p.m. PT\nGalleries 16 and 18 \n  \n“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?” \nExplore the Museum’s world-renowned collection of Old Master paintings by artists such as Lucas Cranach the Younger and El Greco paired with performances by the San Diego Shakespeare Society just in time for midsummer! \nPerformances of this special Midsummer SDMA+ San Diego Shakespeare Society event will take place inside the Museum in Galleries 16 and 18 amid the Museum’s collection of Old Master paintings. Performances will be at 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. \nFree with Museum admission. \n  \n\nPerformance date and times are subject to change. \n  \nSDMA+ programs are offered by The San Diego Museum of Art in collaboration with other local arts institutions to create unique experiences and a deeper exploration of the art on view.
