Unlike a traditional library\, here you’ll “borrow” real individuals for enlightening conversations amidst the inspiring backdrop of our Art of the Americas installation on view in Galleries 1–3 of the Museum. \n\n“Human Books” are diverse volunteers representing groups that often face prejudice or discrimination. They offer their personal narratives on crucial topics such as migration\, segregation\, oppression\, social justice\, climate\, and conservation.\nAs a “reader” you’ll have the opportunity to dialogue with these Human Books for 20–30 minutes in a meaningful exchange to challenge preconceptions and broaden perspectives.\n\n  \nJoin us for this transformative experience where the stories on our walls come to life through the voices of our community.
