This collection of essays by Booker Prize-winning author Julian Barnes explores the lives and work of major artists of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Featuring works like The Raft of the Medusa and artists such as Édouard Manet and Lucian Freud. Insightful\, engaging\, and deeply human\, this collection is perfect for anyone who’s ever stood before a painting and wanted to understand what it was saying—and why it matters. \n\nCoffee and light snacks will be served. DESCRIPTION:Second and fourth Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. \n  \nFamily Art Adventures bring the Museum collection to life for families.\nFamily Art Adventures are dynamic free guided tours specially designed for families with school-aged children ages 5 to 12. Tours are offered the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10:30 a.m. Family tour themes change monthly\, and each family tour is followed by a hands-on art-making activity.
