DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 17\n10:15 a.m.–noon\nSDMA Boardroom \n  \nBe part of the Art of Reading Book Club\, where art\, literature\, and art history converge.\nJoin fellow SDMA members and book lovers as we enjoy discussing The Upside-Down World: Meetings with the Dutch Masters by Banjamin Moser. At twenty-five\, author Benjamin Moser arrived in a Dutch town and became captivated by the country’s great museums\, finding in the lives and works of artists like Rembrandt and Vermeer a mirror to his own questions about art\, success\, and failure. The Upside-Down World is both a rich exploration of Holland’s Golden Age and an intimate self-portrait\, twenty years in the making.  \nCoffee and light snacks will be served.
