The exhibition reflects on the histories and legacies of post-Civil War America as they continue to resonate today\, bringing together a selection of decommissioned monuments\, many of which are Confederate\, with contemporary artworks borrowed and newly created for the occasion. \nLA Arts District \nExplore the Los Angeles Arts District\, including a guided tour of the Hauser & Wirth gallery\, currently featuring the following two exhibitions: \n\nWorks of art by Los Angeles-based artist Christina Quarles created in the wake of the wildfires in Altadena and reflecting an acute sense of displacement.\nDestiny is a Rose\, the Eileen Harris Norton collection\, with more than 80 works that together reflect Harris Norton’s prescient vision and commitment to social justice and learning\, including such artists as Mark Bradford\, \, Glenn Ligon\, Betye Saar\, Lorna Simpson\, and Jack Whitten\, among others.\n\nEnjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant of your choice and discover smaller galleries in the area.
