Set in the rolling hills\, west of Palomar Mountain\, and surrounded by citrus groves\, this “village” has much to offer. Here the locals’ agriculture and cultural pursuits create a charming mix. This small town is home to a number of galleries\, collections\, and installations that will pique the interest of art enthusiasts. You are invited to join us on an exclusive tour of a private collection/art studio. Lunch will be provided at a private residence located in this picturesque hamlet. \nVISIT the historic town center to see the Fallbrook Art Center during its ninth annual watercolor show\, a juried international exhibition and sale. Located nearby are the Brandon Gallery\, a professional artists’ cooperative\, as well as the Blue Heron Gallery\, where discerning collectors come for fine offerings in prints\, paintings\, ceramics\, and more. Don’t miss the art collection and numerous commissioned works at the Fallbrook Public Library that include Peter Mitten’s Visual Garden and James Hubbell’s Poet’s Patio Gate\, among others. \n\nSchedule:\nMorning\nBus to Fallbrook\, California\, approximately 56 miles from Balboa Park\, or 27 miles from Escondido.\nFallbrook Art Center\nFallbrook Public Library\nBlue Heron Gallery\nBrandon Gallery\nLunch at a private home and studio/art collection tour \nAfternoon\nReturn by bus to Escondido and Balboa Park. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, March 4\n8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. \nThis event is now SOLD OUT\nDiscover Jasper Johns: Something Resembling Truth\, which is the first major survey of Jasper Johns since 1965 and the only U.S. venue for this exhibition.\nSavor a three-course\, family-style lunch at Vespaio\, an Italian restaurant located near the museum. A vegetarian option is available.\nVisit the museum designed by world-renowned architectural firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler. Discover the joy and vibrancy of Marc Chagall’s costume and set designs in Chagall: Fantasies for the Stage\, understand the rich interplay of ideas in decorative arts and architecture in Found in Translation: Design in California and Mexico\, 1915-1985\, and experience L.A. culture through a retrospective of one of the most influential Chicano artists of the 1970s and ’80s in Playing with Fire: Paintings by Carlos Almaraz. The bus leaves at  8:00 a.m. and returns to San Diego around 6:00 p.m. \nA preview of our day.  \n\nMorning snacks on bus with presentations on what you will see.\nArrive at LACMA approximately 10:15 a.m. with general admission and special event tickets provided – view the various exhibits on your own.\nLate lunch at 1:30 p.m..
