Murnau’s Nosferatu (1922)\, a vampire tale based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula\, remains one of the defining films of the immensely popular horror genre. Dr. Ariel Plotek\, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at The San Diego Museum of Art\, introduces the film and discusses the influence of German Expressionist aesthetics on this classic motion picture.
