SUMMARY:Virtual Tour: A Last Look: Korea in Color: A Legacy of Auspicious Images
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, March 13th \n1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. PT \n  \nVirtual Event \nWe will take a last look at The San Diego Museum of Art’s special exhibition\, Korea in Color\, which closes March 3. This exhibition invites visitors to encounter the role art once played in everyday Korean life across four themes connected to a traditional household: protection offered by animals at the doorstep; symbols of abundance and longevity in the garden; scholarly objects and books in the study; and the appreciation of majestic mountains beyond the walls of the home. These works\, many on view in the US for the first time\, highlight the continued influence of color\, showcase the legacy of auspicious images\, and span a variety of media. Join us for this visual celebration of the culture of Korea. \n  \nPlease reserve your spot by clicking on this link. All participants will be sent the Zoom link and instructions via email once you secure your place. Space is limited. \nReserve my spot! \n\nHosted by The San Diego Museum of Art Docent Council. \nFeatured: Hong Jiyoon\, Standing on the Hollyhock Field\, 2014 (detail)\, Courtesy of the artist
