As one flies to Berlin\, he reflects on the enigmatic Renaissance painting Saint Sebastian’s Abyss—the work that launched their careers\, destroyed their friendship\, and now frames this darkly comic meditation on art\, obsession\, and belief. Copley Auditorium and Online\nHybrid Event \nJoin us for an evening with renowned artist Nick Cave\, whose multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture\, installation\, performance\, and video. Best known for his celebrated Soundsuits\, elaborate full-body sculptures that merge art\, fashion\, and social commentary\, Cave creates work that speaks to issues of identity\, race\, and healing. His work Rescue\, from the Museum’s permanent collection\, is currently on view in the Art of the Americas galleries\, offering audiences a chance to experience his practice firsthand. \nThe program will begin with a talk by the artist reflecting on his body of work\, followed by a conversation-style interview and an audience Q&A.
