Conceived as part of the Museum’s Centennial\, Local Visions grew out of an open call that invited local artists to reimagine the Museum’s landmark exterior through their own contemporary perspectives. The response to the call was remarkable\, with an inspiring range of proposals that demonstrated the depth of talent in our community. From these submissions\, a selection of works was chosen to reflect both the diversity of artistic approaches and the shared sense of connection to this historic building. \nTogether\, these works illuminate how a single façade can serve as both subject and symbol; honored\, transformed\, and reinterpreted in ways that bridge community and architecture\, past and present\, tradition and innovation. \nMany thanks to the artists whose work appears in the exhibition. \n  \nFeatured at top right: Wagner Humphreys\, Timeless (detail)\, 2025.
