Romero will join the Museum community for the inauguration of the SDMA ofrenda on Sunday\, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. on the Museum’s front steps. \nThe Taco Party\, a gathering featuring unlimited street-style tacos\, refreshing beverages\, music\, and a festive atmosphere\, is a ticketed event complementing Día de los Muertos at SDMA. \n  \nFree admission to The San Diego Museum of Art (SDMA) and the Museum of Photographic Arts at The San Diego Museum of Art (MOPA@SDMA) on Sunday\, November 1 at noon–5:00 p.m. further complements the Día de los Muertos celebration.

Set in Renaissance Italy\, this novel follows Lucrezia de’ Medici\, a young duchess thrust into an arranged marriage after her sister’s death and sent to an unfamiliar court ruled by the enigmatic Duke Alfonso. As pressure mounts for her to produce an heir\, Lucrezia must navigate intrigue\, power\, and danger while fighting to secure her own future. \n\nCoffee and light snacks will be served. The book club will be followed by a docent-led tour of art works relating to the book. \n\nSpace is limited\, so early registration is encouraged. While the book club is free to members\, registration is required and the event is expected to sell out.
