The San Diego Museum of Art is located in the heart of Balboa Park. You will find parking options throughout the Park. The closest parking lot is in the Plaza de Panama, adjacent to the Museum. View a map of Balboa Park.

Additional parking may be found in the Alcazar Lot, located south and west of the Museum and just a short walk away. The Organ Pavilion Parking Lot has abundant parking located a 10 minute walk from the Museum. Additional parking may be found in the Palisades, Federal, Balboa, Natural History, Zoo and Inspiration Point parking lots.

Valet Parking is offered in front of the House of Hospitality in the Plaza de Panama on most weekday evenings and on weekends. Valet parking hours are:

Balboa Park Tram

The free Balboa Park Tram operates every 8 to 10 minutes throughout Balboa Park and its parking lots seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with extended hours during summer months. The Tram picks up and drops off passengers at specially designated stops along President’s Way and at Tram Central, a shady arbor with benches in the Inspiration Point Parking Lot, located on the east side of Park Blvd., between Presidents Way and the Balboa Park Activity Center. The Tram stops at the Plaza de Panama, Quince Street, the Organ Pavilion, and Pan American Plaza tram stops.
