How do you become someone ahead of your time? In this interactive online presentation, Eric Doehne, from the Department of Art Conservation and Heritage Science at Scripps College, reveals how Ellen Browning Scripps became such a person. It is a story of travel and writing opening up new horizons, the impact of art and cultural heritage in an era of rapid change, and the development of values and a commitment that guided her to understand and support what we now call cultural sustainability.
