Guest Lecture & Tour Series

Speaker: Héctor Tajonar, Writer, director, producer, columnist.

The concept of the relevance of beauty in art has changed over the centuries. From ancient times to the contemporary world, Héctor Tajonar will explore these changes through masterpieces from the Museum’s permanent collection as well as those found in collections throughout the world.

Héctor Tajonar is an editor and co-author of numerous art publications as well as an award-winning documentarian focused on art and culture. He has been a consultant at The Getty Conservation Institute, curated an art exhibition at the National Museum of Art in Mexico (MUNAL), and has been the Director of Cultural Projects at Televisa.

This lecture series focuses on works of art on view in the Museum and topics of interest in the broader art world. Lectures are followed by docent-led tours.
