Speaker: Jill DeDominicis, Senior Manager of Visitor Experience at Mingei International Museum

Join us for a conversation with Jill DeDominicis of the Mingei International Museum as she explores the role of adornment in cultural history. She will discuss the distinguished Mingei bead collection, as she was lucky enough to be one of the staff members and volunteers involved with documenting and preserving this one-of-a-kind collection of more than 11,000 beads, and share how beads have played a powerful role through history. Her talk will be enriched by her shared passion for beads and crafts developed during her six years as an editor at Ornament Magazine, a prestigious journal focusing on adornment.
