Join us for a virtual Art of Reading Book Club featuring the book Broad Strokes: 15 Women Who Made Art and Made History by art historian Bridget Quinn. The book adds a fun narrative while reexamining the lives and work of 15 women artists, spanning from 1600 to the present day. Replete with beautiful reproductions of the artists’ works and contemporary portraits of each artist by renowned illustrator Lisa Congdon, this is art history for the modern art lover, reader, and feminist. This book club meeting will be held via Zoom and will be followed by a virtual tour focusing on the Museum’s collection of works by women artists, including some of the artists featured in Broad Strokes.
