Art making is flourishing in Ghana today. This talk with Dr. Peri Klemm will examine long-standing artistic practices, including the carving of Asante fertility figures, the construction of fantasy coffins, and the weaving and stamping of textiles to explore the innovative ways artists are currently transforming these traditional expressions.
Free for APAC members & college students/ $5 Museum members / $10 nonmembers.
