Bloom Bash Featured Artist
Ian Brill
Ian Brill’s work focuses on the accumulation of form through process. Through the creation of interactive, performative and multi-sensory environments, he considers boundaries of becoming (versus being) and our immersive relationship with technology.
“Figure-Ground” is an immersive light installation consisting of two structures that will iterate between evolving states of ambiguity and expression. This is a continuation of artist Ian Brill’s exploration of programmatic and performative gestures within custom, architectural systems. Ian Brill was born in 1978, grew up in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York and has mostly resided in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania since 2001.
