The San Diego Museum of Art Library
Join us for an afternoon dedicated to reviving the lost art of letter writing.
In an era of instant communication, take a moment to indulge in a practice near and dear to both Georgia O’Keeffe and Henry Moore. In this multi-generational workshop, you’ll dive into the private correspondence from both O’Keeffe and Moore with their respective friends and loved ones and consider the ways they expressed their love and gratitude through letters. Take this opportunity to explore letter-writing at all levels; guide your little ones through writing a note or individually indulge in writing a long letter. With a full heart and mind, you’ll be provided with all the materials and instruction to properly write, personalize, address, and post your very own hand-written letter to a loved one.
This FREE event is inspired by O’Keeffe and Moore, a special exhibition at the Museum on view May 13–August 27, 2023.
Please RSVP here to save your spot! Space is limited.
