Travel with us to the Getty Center for two private tours. One tour will focus on the exhibition Ultra-Violet: New Light on Van Gogh’s Irises and other Impressionist works on view. The other tour will be on the architecture of the Getty Center. These will be followed by lunch, with multiple options available on-site, from a coffee cart to a full-service restaurant. Advance reservations recommended for the restaurant. After lunch, enjoy the Getty Center at your leisure. The group will gather in the large café at 4:00 p.m. to share our thoughts before returning to San Diego, with wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase.

Tour ticket includes travel to the Getty Center, guided docent tours, and snacks, coffee, water, and non-alcoholic drinks available on the bus ride. Full schedule below.

7:45 a.m. | Bus departs from Balboa Park (from the north end of the Pan American Plaza parking lot)

8:15 a.m. | Bus picks up guests at the La Costa Park N Ride (710 La Costa Avenue, Encinitas, CA 92024)

8:30 p.m. | Bus departs from La Costa Park N Ride

10:30 a.m. | Arrive at the Getty Center; Guided tours of Getty exhibition and architecture

1:00 p.m. | Lunch and free time to explore the Getty Center

4:00 p.m. | Gather in Getty Center cafe

5:00 p.m. | Depart the Getty Center

7:00 p.m. | Estimated arrival at La Costa Park & Ride

7:30 p.m. | Estimated arrival at Balboa Park

Bus will leave from the north end of the Pan American Plaza parking lot in Balboa Park promptly at 7:45 a.m.

North County

Bus will pick up at the La Costa Park N Ride (710 La Costa Avenue, Encinitas, CA 92024) promptly at 8:30 a.m.
