Event Navigation

Sunday, July 16
7:45 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Explore special exhibitions at The Grand LA and The Broad and meet two new friends: Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.

Basquiat: King Pleasure | The Grand LA

Jean-Michel Basquiat’s contributions to the history of art and his explorations of multifaceted cultural phenomena are showcased through immersive environments providing unique insight into the late artist’s creative life. Basquiat: King Pleasure at The Grand LA showcases over 200 never-before-seen and rarely shown works and artifacts. The exhibition is organized, curated, and executive produced by the estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat as administered by the artist’s sisters.

Keith Haring: Art Is for Everybody | The Broad

Featuring over 120 artworks and archival materials, this is the first-ever museum exhibition of Keith Haring’s work in Los Angeles. Keith Haring: Art Is for Everybody at The Broad explores both Haring’s artistic practice and life, with much of the source material for the exhibition coming from his personal journals.
