Basquiat: King Pleasure | The Grand LA
Jean-Michel Basquiat’s contributions to the history of art and his explorations of multifaceted cultural phenomena are showcased through immersive environments providing unique insight into the late artist’s creative life. Basquiat: King Pleasure at The Grand LA showcases over 200 never-before-seen and rarely shown works and artifacts. The exhibition is organized, curated, and executive produced by the estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat as administered by the artist’s sisters.
Keith Haring: Art Is for Everybody | The Broad
Featuring over 120 artworks and archival materials, this is the first-ever museum exhibition of Keith Haring’s work in Los Angeles. Keith Haring: Art Is for Everybody at The Broad explores both Haring’s artistic practice and life, with much of the source material for the exhibition coming from his personal journals.

8:00 a.m. | Bus departs from Balboa Park (from the north end of the Pan American Plaza parking lot)
8:30 a.m. | Bus picks up guests at the La Costa Park & Ride (710 La Costa Avenue, Encinitas, CA 92024)
10:00 a.m. | The Grand LA for the Basquiat exhibition with docent tour
Noon | Pick up lunch at Vespaio and eat in a nice shady spot
1:30 p.m. | Keith Haring exhibition at The Broad
2:30 p.m. | Free time to explore
4:00 p.m. | Optional happy hour at Vespaio with guide
5:00 p.m. | Depart for San Diego
Pick-Up Locations
Balboa Park
Bus will leave from the north end of the Pan American Plaza parking lot (opposite end of the Air and Space Museum) in Balboa Park at 8:00 a.m.
North County
Bus will pick up at the La Costa Park & Ride (710 La Costa Avenue), just east of Interstate 5 at 8:15 a.m.

Seats are limited.
Ticket includes morning coffee, entry to both museums, lunch, and a snack box for the ride home.
