This tour travels to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, for a private, guided tour of their collection. The Norton Simon is home to one of the most remarkable private collections consisting of 12,000 works of art spanning the renaissance to the 20th century and an impressive South Asian and Southeast Asian art collection. There will be a 60–90 minute private tour in the morning led by their educators followed by a break for lunch. The afternoon will focus on exploring the South Asian collection with Dr. Ravi Reddy and Will Tuchrello of the SAAC, as well as time to enjoy the sculpture garden and the exhibits independently. There will be a pre-tour lecture on the Norton Simon’s South Asian art collection on May 2 for those who have registered for the bus tour.
